THE COURAGE TO EXIST

The Courage to Exist explores identity, resilience, and the emotional complexity of living authentically. In this series, realistic portraits emerge through bold color, layered textures, and expressive abstraction, reflecting the tension between vulnerability and strength.

Each painting begins with a carefully rendered portrait where I focus on capturing subtle human emotion. I then build dimensional surfaces using texture paste and layered materials, allowing the structured figure to interact with spontaneous splashes of color and abstract gestures. Select areas are finished with resin to enhance depth, light, and movement.

Through this layered process, I explore themes of transformation, vulnerability, and inner strength. My goal is to transmit energy through the work and create a deep, intuitive connection with the viewer.
